West Fargo Baseball and SCHEELS Join Forces to Unveil State-of-the-Art SCHEELS Performance Center
West Fargo, (January 30, 2024) — West Fargo Baseball is delighted to announce the construction of the SCHEELS Performance Center, slated to begin in August 2024 on West Fargo Parks property. This cutting-edge indoor training facility, strategically positioned adjacent to Young Field, is a collaborative effort between West Fargo Baseball and SCHEELS, promising to enhance baseball training in the region.
The SCHEELS Performance Center will feature an expansive 25,200 sq ft turf area, offering athletes a top-notch environment for honing their skills. In addition to the premier training space, the facility will house offices and a locker room, ensuring a comprehensive experience for athletes in the West Fargo Baseball program.

Construction is scheduled to finish in May 2025, bringing to life West Fargo Baseball’s vision for a top-tier training facility that raises the bar for athletic development.

About SCHEELS:
Three acres of potatoes were the seed for the first SCHEELS store in 1902. Frederick A. Scheel, a German immigrant, used the $300 he earned from that first harvest as the down payment on the first SCHEELS, a small hardware store in Sabin, Minn. Over the years, SCHEELS opened in surrounding communities including Fargo in 1930, where the Corporate Offices are located. Customer interest grew and sports lines were added to the product mix.
SCHEELS is now a 32-store operation with stores in 14 states including North Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Nevada, Illinois, Utah, Kansas, Colorado, Texas, and Arizona.
